How the Crypto Average Price Calculator (DCA Cost Basis) works
Each purchase buys amount ÷ price coins. Your average price is the total spent divided by the total coins, which is not the simple average of the prices: you buy more coins when the price is low.
When you spend the same amount each time (dollar-cost averaging), the average price is the harmonic mean of the prices. Crypto prices are volatile; this is arithmetic, not investment advice.
