Working Days Calculator by TheCalcTools

How the Working Days Calculator works

Enter the first and last day of the period; both are counted. Choose which days are your weekend: Saturday and Sunday in most of the world, Friday and Saturday in several Gulf countries, or only Sunday in some workplaces.

The calculator counts each calendar day, sets aside the weekend days, and then subtracts the number of public holidays you enter that fall on working days. It does not know about specific holidays because they differ by country and year, so look up yours and enter the count.

The formula

Working days = calendar days − weekend days − holidays on working days

Worked example

From 10 October to 31 December 2026, Saturday–Sunday weekends, 2 holidays:

PeriodOctober 10 to December 31, 2026
WeekendSaturday and Sunday
Holidays2
  1. Calendar days (inclusive) = 83.
  2. Weekend days = 24.
  3. Working days = 83 − 24 − 2 holidays = 57.

Result:

Working days57
Weekend days24
Calendar days (inclusive)83
