How the Fitrana Calculator (Sadaqat al-Fitr) works
Sadaqat al-Fitr is due for every member of the household, including children, before the Eid al-Fitr prayer. The head of the household pays for dependants.
Each year religious authorities announce a per-person amount based on the price of wheat, barley, dates or raisins. Those who can afford it are encouraged to pay at the higher rates. Enter the rate for your city.
