Frequently asked questions
Why do cups of different ingredients weigh differently?
Cups measure volume. A cup of flour is lighter than a cup of sugar or honey because they have different densities.
Why do bakers prefer weighing?
Scooping packs flour differently each time, which can change a cup by 20 g or more. Weighing is repeatable.
