How the Time Calculator works

The formula

Total seconds = (3600h + 60m + s) ± (3600h + 60m + s)

Frequently asked questions

How do I convert 1 hour 45 minutes to decimal hours?

Divide minutes by 60: 45 ÷ 60 = 0.75, so 1.75 hours.

Can I enter more than 59 minutes?

Yes. The tool normalises the values, so 90 minutes is treated as 1 hour 30 minutes.
