How the Random Team Generator works

Players are shuffled fairly and dealt into teams one at a time, like dealing cards, so team sizes differ by at most one.

Press Make teams again for a new random split.

Worked example

Ten players into 3 teams gives teams of 4, 3 and 3.

Frequently asked questions

Can I balance teams by skill?

Random teams ignore skill. For balance, list players in skill order and split them manually, or make several random splits and pick the fairest.
