How the Cricket Bowling Average, Economy and Strike Rate Calculator works

Economy rate is runs conceded per over. Bowling average is runs conceded per wicket, and bowling strike rate is balls bowled per wicket. Lower is better for all three.

Part overs count by the ball: 82.4 overs is 82 overs and 4 balls, or 496 balls.

The formula

Economy = runs ÷ (balls ÷ 6); Average = runs ÷ wickets; Strike rate = balls ÷ wickets
