How the CM to Feet and Inches Converter (Height) works
One inch is exactly 2.54 cm and one foot is 12 inches. To convert a height, divide the centimetres by 2.54 to get inches, then split them into feet (12 inches each) and the inches left over.
Inches are rounded to one decimal place. To go the other way, multiply feet by 12, add the inches and multiply by 2.54.
The formula
Inches = cm ÷ 2.54; feet = ⌊inches ÷ 12⌋; remaining inches = inches − 12 × feet
