How the Case Converter (Upper, Lower, Title, camelCase) works
Title Case capitalises the first letter of each word except short words such as “and”, “of” and “the” (unless they start the text). Sentence case capitalises the first letter after each full stop, question mark or exclamation mark.
Programmer cases split the text into words, including at camelCase boundaries, then join them: camelCase, snake_case (underscores) or kebab-case (hyphens).
Worked example
“the quick brown fox” becomes The Quick Brown Fox in title case, theQuickBrownFox in camelCase and the_quick_brown_fox in snake_case.
Frequently asked questions
Which title case rules are used?
A simple rule close to common style guides: minor words stay lowercase. Style guides (AP, Chicago, APA) differ in details, so check proper nouns yourself.
