Blog Revenue Calculator (Pageviews and RPM) by TheCalcTools
How the Blog Revenue Calculator (Pageviews and RPM) works
RPM is revenue per 1,000 pageviews, so monthly revenue = pageviews ÷ 1,000 × RPM. Affiliate links add their own earnings per 1,000 pageviews.
RPM depends on topic, audience country, season and ad layout. Use your own dashboard figures rather than averages.
The formula
Revenue = pageviews ÷ 1,000 × RPM
Worked example
Using the default values shown in the calculator:
| Monthly pageviews | 120000 |
|---|---|
| Page RPM (revenue per 1,000 pageviews) | $12 |
| Affiliate income per 1,000 pageviews | $4 |
| Monthly traffic growth | 5 % |
- 120,000 pageviews at 12 RPM plus 4 affiliate: $1,920 a month.
- With 5% monthly growth, the next year brings $30,561.
Result:
| Monthly revenue | $1,920 |
|---|---|
| Next 12 months with growth | $30,561 |
| From ads per month | $1,440 |
| Pageviews needed for 1,000 a month | 62,500 |
