MRR and ARR Calculator by TheCalcTools
How the MRR and ARR Calculator works
Multiply paying customers by average monthly revenue per account for MRR.
ARR is MRR × 12.
Net new MRR adds new and expansion revenue and subtracts churned revenue.
The formula
MRR = customers × ARPAARR = MRR × 12
Worked example
Using the default values shown in the calculator:
| Paying customers | 420 |
|---|---|
| Average revenue per account (monthly) | $49 |
| New MRR this month | $2400 |
| Churned MRR this month | $900 |
| Expansion MRR this month | $600 |
- MRR = 420 × $49 = $20,580; ARR = $246,960.
- Net new MRR = 2,400 + 600 − 900 = $2,100, a 11.36% monthly growth.
Result:
| MRR | $20,580 |
|---|---|
| ARR | $246,960 |
| Net new MRR | $2,100 |
| Monthly growth rate | 11.36% |
